Introduction
Ammar Kheder, MD, MRCP, serves as Medical Director of Epilepsy Surgery and Stereo EEG at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and is an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kheder joined Children’s in 2019. He received training in medicine and neurology in England prior to completing two years of fellowship training in epilepsy and neurophysiology at Harvard Medical School–Massachusetts General Hospital. He also performed an additional one-year advanced fellowship in epilepsy surgery and stereo EEG at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Kheder is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and holds diplomas in medicine and neurology.

Dr. Kheder’s research interests include stereo EEG, epilepsy surgery, multimodal investigations in epilepsy patients, intracranial EEG monitoring, brain mapping, brain connectivity, seizure semiology, functional neuroimaging, cognitive neurology and first seizure evaluation.
