Michelle L. Schoettler, MD, is a Pediatric Hematologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. As part of the multidisciplinary team at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s, Dr. Schoettler's clinical interest is hematopoietic cellular therapy for hematologic malignancies.

Dr. Schoettler completed medical school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, residency training at Boston Children's Hospital, and hematology/oncology/hematopoietic cellular therapy fellowship at Boston Children's/Dana Farber Cancer and Blood Disorder Center.

Research

Dr. Schoettler's research focus includes the study of transplant associated thrombotic microangiopathy, a potentially life-threatening complication of hematopoietic cellular therapy. She aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients after hematopoietic cellular therapy.
