Introduction

Dr. Michael Lopez is a pediatric cardiologist who specializes in inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology, as well as exercise physiology. A native of Miami, Florida, Dr. Lopez received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Miami before receiving his medical education at St. George’s University. Dr. Lopez then completed his residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, where he also completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and served as an assistant professor.

Clinically and academically, Dr. Lopez focuses on rhythm disorders and cardiopulmonary exercise testing. He serves as the Director of the Cardiac Exercise Laboratory, spearheading efforts to understand and address the cardiac health of children and adolescents, with a specific emphasis on exercise and physical activity.
