Introduction
James Kuo, MD, is a Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology and serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kuo earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at the Carolinas Medical Center. He then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. Following his medical training, Dr. Kuo worked in private practice where he served as the heart center’s Medical Director of Quality. After nearly a decade in private practice, he returned to Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
At Children’s, Dr. Kuo specializes in interventional pediatric cardiology. He provides evaluations and treatment for a wide variety of complex congenital heart defects. Being involved in an ever-expanding field, he loves to be on the forefront of cardiology and minimally invasive interventions. His interests include clinical research, education and quality improvement to optimize patient care. Outside of work, Dr. Kuo enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling with his family, cycling, and playing his guitar and violin.
