Metro Atlanta Childhood Cancer Survivor Gives Back to Other Patients

In 2015, Mary Tipton Carter was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 8 just years old. The experience inspired her to start a tradition of making special gift baskets for other young patients also diagnosed with cancer. Now 10 years cancer free, Mary Tipton understands the importance of remaining on top of her health as a childhood cancer survivor and receives regular checkups in our Survivor Clinic with Dr. Karen Effinger.
