Introduction
Dr. Bergsagel is a Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and an Assistant Professor in the Emory University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Bergsagel earned his MD from Queen's University at Kingston in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Bergsagel completed his residency in pediatrics at Stanford University and his fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Boston Children's Hospital.

Loganville Senior Overcomes Cancer, Sets Records in Remarkable Year
Shortly before her senior year began, Aubrey Barnett noticed a lump in her neck. In September of 2024, she was diagnosed with a rare and fast-growing form of cancer called Burkitt lymphoma. Despite aggressive treatment, Aubrey not only overcame cancer, she was also crowned homecoming queen and broke a school athletic record. Dr. John Bergsagel shared more about her remarkable recovery.
