Introduction

Kindell Schoffner, PsyD, is a Pediatric Psychologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Schoffner currently works with children and their families within our Rehabilitation Program and is a member of the interdisciplinary team who cares for children in our Differences of Sex Development Clinic. Her clinical interests include emotional and behavior assessment; family behavioral therapy; cognitive behavioral therapy; evidence-based treatment; intervention services for children with anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and acute and chronic medical issues; as well as intensive rehabilitation needs for children with traumatic and acquired brain injuries, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, burns and neurological disorders. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Schoffner also provides clinical training to psychology students at the doctoral and internships levels and holds leadership positions within the Society of Pediatric Psychology and the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Schoffner received a Bachelor of Science in psychology at Louisiana State University followed by a master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She completed her internship/residency training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital/Ohio State University School of Medicine and fellowship training at Children’s and Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Schoffner has been practicing psychology in the greater Atlanta area since 2004.

In her free time, Dr. Schoffner enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, reading, running, practicing yoga, and baking.
