Research & Publications

Dr. Shishido's research focuses on identifying the predictors and mechanisms underlying neurocognitive outcomes by examining the interplay between cognitive, biological (advanced MRI biomarkers) and contextual (role of parents/caregivers) factors through the collaboration with a multidisciplinary team at Children’s and Emory. Dr. Shishido has a strong interest in improving neurocognitive assessment methods, especially through integrating patient-centered outcome measures to improve data accuracy and ecological validity. By leveraging artificial intelligence and electronic medical records, Dr. Shishido seeks to advance clinical care and optimize research methods, contributing to more effective and individualized cognitive care for pediatric patients.
