Introduction

David Carney, MD, serves as the Medical Director of Trauma at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Carney received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He then completed residency training at SUNY Upstate Medical University followed by a fellowship at Indiana University.

Dr. Carney’s area of clinical expertise is minimally invasive surgery, pediatric surgical oncology, neonatal surgery, gastrointestinal surgery and hepatobiliary surgery.
