  • Where do parents/caregivers stay during inpatient rehabilitation?

At the Children's Inpatient Rehabilitation Program, each patient has a private room with a sofa that coverts to a bed for family members wishing to stay with their child.

  • What do I need to bring for my child's inpatient rehabilitation stay?

Bringing personal items from home, such as books, photos or favorite clothes, can make your child more comfortable during his or her stay. We suggest bringing some personal care items, such as a comb or brush, deodorant, shampoo, soap and a toothbrush and toothpaste. Please bring comfortable clothing for your child, such as elastic-waistband pants, loose-fitting shirts, pajamas, socks, underwear, athletic shoes and a jacket or coat if needed. Each patient room has a safe to store electronic and personal items.

  • How can my child get from a rehabilitation location to a hospital for inpatient care?
One of our evaluators will work with the case manager or referring professional to arrange transportation from your location to Children’s at Scottish Rite.
