At the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, our Hematology Program team provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis and treatment of children and young adults with a wide variety of blood disorders, including:
- Immune thrombocytopenia
- White blood cell disorders
- Bone marrow failure syndromes
- Congenital anemias
- Acquired anemias
We offer a full range of treatment options and work closely with each family to determine the best course of action.
The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is home to the largest pediatric hematology program in the country. We are a designated Comprehensive Thalassemia Treatment Center—one of only nine in the country. The size of our program and breadth of our expertise allow us to offer the highest degree of specialization, which means that every child is cared for by a team that is focused solely on his or her specific childhood blood disorder. Combining the latest proven technology and research with a caring, child-friendly approach makes the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center a top choice for the treatment of common and rare blood disorders.

We offer an Immunohematology and Immune Dysregulation Program for patients with rare disorders at the intersection of hematology and immunology.
Vascular Anomalies Clinic
We care for children with a wide range of vascular anomalies and tumors, engaging a broad spectrum of experts in hematology, surgery, dermatology and more.
Bone Marrow Failure Program
Our Bone Marrow Failure Program serves patients with a group of rare, life-threatening disorders that affect the body’s ability to produce blood cells.
