Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is excited to announce we are opening a new pediatric primary care practice in Cartersville in January 2026.
Led by board-certified pediatrician Tammy Williams, MD, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cartersville Pediatrics will be dedicated to caring for kids from birth to age 21. From routine immunizations for school to treating the common cold and flu to helping manage chronic conditions, we will work with you to care for your child.
Our pediatric practice will be located in Cartersville. Construction is currently underway.
Virtual visits
While we complete the final construction phase for our new office, virtual visits with Dr. Williams will be available starting Dec. 8. Call 470-566-1100 to schedule a telehealth appointment.

Our new pediatric primary care practice will be located at 210 East Felton Road in Cartersville. Construction is currently underway on the 8,000-square-foot building.
Beginning January 2026, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cartersville Pediatrics will offer a wide range of pediatric primary care services. From infancy through puberty and into young adulthood, our team will care for your child’s medical, emotional and developmental needs through:
Well-child checkups are recommended for all children and teens. Your child will receive a physical exam, as well as any immunizations needed. You will also have a chance to discuss any development or behavioral concerns with your child's provider.

We will do our best to offer same-day appointments for sick visits for common illnesses or minor injuries, such as:
- Colds
- Cough
- Earaches and ear infections
- Flu
- Skin and scalp rashes
- Sore throat
- Stomachaches and vomiting
- Minor injuries
Prenatal consults
Beginning January 2026, we will offer prenatal consultations for expectant parents to help them decide if our practice is right for their family.
Newborn visits
If you are expecting a new baby after January 2026 and would like Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cartersville Pediatrics to serve as your pediatric primary care office, please contact us once your baby is born. We will schedule a newborn visit with one of our providers to examine your baby. We like to see newborns for their first visit within one to two days of birth.
Lactation consults
Our practice will offer lactation consultations for breastfeeding mothers.
Pre-participation evaluations and other school, camp and sports physical forms will be completed by one of our providers at the time of your child’s appointment. Please allow enough time to schedule your child’s appointment before the forms are due.
Our providers are affiliated with Children’s three pediatric hospitals and work closely with Children’s specialists, giving your child access to pediatric care experts in more than 60 different specialties, programs and clinics.
We offer hearing and vision screenings along with blood tests that can check your child’s iron and sugar levels, urine tests to check for bladder or kidney infections, as well as tests for common illnesses like strep throat and flu.

Tammy Williams, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician at Children’s. Dr. Williams has been practicing pediatrics in Cartersville for more than 20 years.

Cancel an appointment
While keeping appointments is important, we understand plans change and other obligations or emergencies may arise. If you can’t make it to your child’s appointment, cancel the appointment at least 24 hours in advance by calling 470-566-1100.

Request medical records
If you would like to transition your child's care to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Cartersville Pediatrics, you will need to request a copy of your child’s medical records from your current pediatrician.
Complete forms
Beginning January 2026, we will be able to provide forms for school, including immunization records, hearing and vision screens, and sports physicals.
Get a referral
In most cases, your child’s pediatrician or a member of their care team must see your child in our office before a new referral to a specialist can be made. Call 470-566-1100 to schedule an appointment.
