Biography When not seeing patients, I serve as the director for the Children's Cardiac Outcomes Research Program at Sibley Heart Center and as a medical officer at the CDC's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities. Outcomes research involves using existing data to find ways to help children in the future. My research interests include understanding the epidemiology of congenital heart disease (CHD) and improving the long-term outcomes for patients with congenital heart disease.
