Introduction

Nanci Stauffer, MD, joined the Children’s Heart Center in 1998. She grew up in the Midwest and earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska and medical degree from University of Nebraska Medical Center. After completing a pediatrics residency at Shands Hospital University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, she completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the University of Minnesota. She married and moved to the northeast, where additional time was spent at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia specializing in echo and fetal echocardiography and completed her third year of pediatric cardiology fellowship in Philadelphia at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Dr. Stauffer is board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. Her clinical interests within the field of cardiology include neonatal cardiology, noninvasive imaging and fetal cardiology. She currently sees patients around metro-Atlanta in the neonatal nurseries and intensive care units as well as covers at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta echo lab, and see’s urgent and non-urgent fetal consults at hospitals and perinatal offices.
