Introduction

Alaa Aljiffry, MD, is a Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology. She joined Children’s Cardiology in 2017. Dr. Aljiffry currently serves as the Director of the Single Ventricle Program and works as a Cardiac Intensivist in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Arthur M. Blank Hospital.

Dr. Aljiffry earned her bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the University of King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Following her pediatric residency training at the Children’s Hospital University of Illinois in Chicago, she pursued a three-year fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Subsequently, she completed an additional three year fellowship in pediatric cardiology, along with an advanced fellowship in pediatric cardiac critical care at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Aljiffry’s clinical focus in critical care and cardiology encompasses patients with single ventricle physiology, mechanical circulatory support and inherited heart conditions.
