Construction Update: June 2022

Children's Hosts Topping Out Ceremony to Celebrate Major Milestone

On May 31st, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta held the topping out ceremony for Arthur M. Blank Hospital, recognizing completion of its highest point of construction. Children’s leaders also recognized over 1,500 construction workers for their efforts towards making the new hospital a reality.

Children's CEO Donna Hyland, hospital namesake Arthur Blank, and Lex, a Children's patient and honorary construction manager, provided special remarks to commemorate this major milestone.

Scheduled to open in 2025, the 1.5 million-square-foot, 19-story, 446-bed pediatric hospital will provide advanced care and support for children and their families from across the state. Once complete, the North Druid Hills campus will include Arthur M. Blank Hospital, Center for Advanced Pediatrics, an outpatient clinic, the Support Center and more than 20 acres of greenspace.
