The Children's Pediatric Surgery Practice provides comprehensive general and thoracic (chest) pediatric surgical care throughout Georgia and the Southeast.

Our general pediatric surgeons are trained for adults and children and then receive years of additional training in the specialty care of newborns, infants and children.

  • What to Bring

      - Driver's license

      - Insurance card

      - Your child's medicine or a list of your child's medicines with dosages

      - Questions for the doctor or nurse

      - Cash for parking (allow an extra 15 minutes to park)

  • Medicine

      Call your pharmacy 1 to 2 weeks before your prescription runs out and ask them to fax a refill request to 404-785-9113. This will take 2 business days to process.

  • Insurance

      - It is important to let us know of any changes with your insurance. We will need your most up-to-date information to get approval for medications and/or procedures.

      - It is your responsibility to know what is covered by your insurance policy. We will try to get all necessary approvals from your insurance company before your child's procedure.

  • For Professionals

Our team of general pediatric surgeons provides care to patients from birth to age 21. These surgeons are board-certified and are on the clinical faculty of the Emory University School of Medicine Division of Pediatric Surgery. They are part of the Children's Physician Group.

Surgeons in Children's Pediatric Surgery Practice participate in multispecialty clinics for children with surgical conditions:

  • Colorectal Clinic: Provides care for children with surgical diseases resulting in constipation, soiling, poor motility and pain as a consequence or complication of the disease.
  • Health4Life Clinic: Offers a team of doctors, nutritionists, psychologists and exercise physiologists who work with patients and families to provide intensive treatment of obesity including the promotion of a physically active lifestyle, healthy eating habits and behavior modification, in addition to a surgical weight loss program.
