Young Friends

Young Friends is a program for kids in Kindergarten through fifth grade. This program is a great way for kids to explore the medical field while learning about many different parts of our hospitals.

In this one-hour program, youngsters will enjoy fun themes, hands-on activities and a short educational presentation about Children’s. Your child can participate in Young Friends at our Egleston or Scottish Rite locations.

Note: There is no patient interaction due to the hospital's infection control policy.

MedKids Program

The MedKids Summer Program is a three-day exploration of pediatric healthcare professions for students who have completed grades 6, 7 or 8.

Participants will have an opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals and learn about the medical field through speakers, presentations, hands-on simulations and a tour of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Transportation to and from the CDC will be provided.

Interested students must commit to all three days during their selected session and can only apply to and participate in one session at one campus one time.

This program is available on a first come, first served basis to the first 30 participants to complete and submit the application for the respective campus.

Note: There is no patient interaction due to the hospital's infection control policy.
