DACULA, Ga. (April 11, 2017)— To better serve children and families in Gwinnett County, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is opening a new Urgent Care Center in Dacula on April 11. Through this Urgent Care Center, Children’s will continue to support community primary care physicians by providing after-hours patient care, maintaining their commitment of strong communication with primary care providers in the community.
Children’s at Hamilton Creek will have nine exam rooms, two procedure rooms and two intake rooms that will allow Children’s pediatric specialists to treat minor illnesses and injuries, as well as onsite lab and X-ray for patients. The new Urgent Care Center offers access to the expertise and resources at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, including 60 pediatric specialties.
“Whatever the reason you find yourself at Children’s, you can be confident that your child is receiving world-class care from a hospital system with more than 100 years of experience caring for Georgia’s kids,” said Donna Hyland, president and chief executive officer at Children’s. “We’re so thankful for a community in Gwinnett that not only supports our mission, but that works with us to strengthen the health of those children—making Gwinnett’s kids better today and healthier tomorrow.”
Convenient online scheduling is offered at Children’s at Hamilton Creek where families can view real-time wait times and save their spot in line before leaving home. More information can be found at choa.org/waittimes.
