Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Names New Practice Director for Children’s Physician Group–Neurology


ATLANTA (April 11, 2019) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has announced that Satyanarayana Gedela, MD, a Pediatric Neurologist, has been appointed as its new Division Chief of Pediatric Neurology and Practice Director for Children’s Physician Group–Neurology.

Before joining Children’s, Dr. Gedela served as Medical Director for the Epilepsy Surgery Program and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Additional previous positions held include Associate Director of the Neurophysiology/Epilepsy Fellowship Program and Director of the Epilepsy Center. During his time at Nationwide Children’s, he also served as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Gedela is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Neurology, Child Neurology Society and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. He is board-certified in pediatrics, epilepsy and neurology, with special qualifications in child neurology. A lecturer, author and active researcher, Dr. Gedela is currently involved in nine clinical research studies on seizures and epilepsy.
