Children’s is one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country. We are ranked No. 1 in the nation for pediatric emergency department visits, No. 2 in the nation for pediatric surgical procedures and No. 2 for pediatric hospital discharges.

Every year, we treat kids from each of Georgia’s 159 counties, and approximately one out of every six kids in Georgia came to Children’s in 2025. Families in Georgia rely on us to provide specialized care in more than 60 pediatric specialties.

With a singular focus on kids, we are dedicated to having a positive and lasting impact on both the physical and emotional well-being of every child in Georgia. We are impacting the health of kids in ways that reach far beyond our hospital walls, as we realize that we can help kids grow healthier by improving the critical factors that affect their daily lives.

  • Research and Teaching: Children’s is transforming pediatric care through training, scientific discovery and innovation, pushing boundaries to drive clinical breakthroughs for kids now and for years to come.
  • Behavioral and Mental Health: Children’s is advancing mental health outcomes for kids and teens in Georgia and establishing a model for behavioral and mental health care that can be the standard nationwide.
  • Child Advocacy: Children’s is enhancing child health and wellness outcomes through awareness, prevention and education efforts.

Promoting a healthy workforce through employee wellness

In many ways, working at Children’s is a calling. Our promise—People First, Children Always—reminds us to constantly find ways to uplift our workforce, supporting their mental and physical well-being.

Focus on physician wellness

When our physicians take care of themselves, they’re able to provide better care for our patients. Led by our Chief Physician Wellness Officer, Dr. Will Border, we are implementing programs to help prevent the threats of physician burnout and stress at every angle, all while fostering resilience and providing excellent patient care.
