ATLANTA (July 15, 2026) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is proud to host the 26th annual 95.5 WSB Care-a-Thon at Arthur M. Blank Hospital on July 23rd and July 24th. This inspiring radiothon, co-hosted with Cox Media Group’s 95.5 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM), helps fund family support services, cancer and blood disorders research, and the fellowship program at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The two-day event features staff and patients sharing inspiring stories of hope and resilience and gives listeners the opportunity to make donations, purchase one-of-a-kind experiences, and be part of something monumental.

This beloved radio tradition is spearheaded by Scott Slade, Clark Howard, Mark Arum, Chris Chandler, Erick Erickson, Eric Von Haessler, and Shelley Wynter alongside the 95.5 WSB team. Since 2001, Care-a-Thon has raised more than $36 million for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. This year, special guests include Dan Amos, the Chief Executive Officer of Aflac Inc., John Smoltz, and other influential Atlanta-based personalities.

The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is one of the largest pediatric cancer and blood disorders programs in the country, treating more than 500 new cancer patients and nearly 2,100 unique sickle cell disease patients annually. With the only High-Risk Leukemia and Lymphoma Program of its kind in the Southeast and the largest pediatric blood and marrow transplant (BMT) programs in the country, the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center compassionately treats patients with some of the most complex cases. Additionally, it is ranked among the top five in the country for the Children’s Oncology Group therapeutic clinical trial enrollment, making it a destination for the nation’s leading pediatric cancer and blood disorders researchers.

“We are so grateful for the support of the team at 95.5 WSB and their listeners,” said Douglas Graham, MD, PhD, Chief, Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. “This incredible event has helped raise critical funds for research and innovation and allows us to support our patients and their families today and for generations to come.”

“Twenty-six years ago, WSB wanted to make a difference in our community by partnering with Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center on the annual Care-a-Thon,” said Ken Charles, WSB Director of Operations, Branding and Programming. “Our goal then is the same today — make one dollar more this year than we did last year. We know with the support of our listeners and clients that goal will be met again!”

Exciting incentives for donation:
