About This Jazzy Event
Join us for the first annual TRC Staffing Services presents Jazz and Art from the Heart event taking place on Saturday, September 24th, 2011 at the Bill Lowe Gallery. Enjoy the sounds of a live jazz quartet and a special appearance by U.K. Singer-Songwriter, Callaghan. Check out her debut album on face, a one-of-a-kind pieces which will be available for purchase. Heavy Hors d'oeuvres, cocktails (the new Heartini will be a hit!), beer and wine will be served. The event will feature an extravagant selection of artwork created by local Atlanta artists as well as patients from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in the Silent and Live Auction. The Live Auction, hosted by FOX5 anchor Stacey Elgin, will wow the crowd with stunning artwork by Deb Weiser, premium wine selections, and a trip to JazzFest in New Orleans.
Special Prize Opportunity: You also won't want to miss the special prize opportunity featuring a diamond necklace valued at $5,000 donated by Jewelry Artisans. We will sell heart pins for $25 a piece. Toward the end of the evening, we will do a drawing to see who wins the beautiful diamond necklace as our special prize! About Callaghan
A London singer-songwriter with a devoted following in the UK, Callaghan now has a rapidly growing fanbase in the USA. Since moving to the USA in July 2010, she has played shows and festivals across 20 states, secured TV and Radio appearances, and spent many hours in the studio recording her debut album, Life in Full Colour, produced by Grammy nominee and mentor, Shawn Mullins. The album is set to be released in June 2011.
Callaghan’s rich vocals have been compared to Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones and Emmy Lou Harris. Her lyrics have been influenced by those artists and others including; Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, John Denver, and Alison Krauss.
