Child Sex Trafficking Computer-Based Series

Please note that the service provider that we use to host our CBTs, Adobe Connect, can occasionally have technical problems causing them to be temporarily unavailable. When this occurs please bear with us as we can usually resolve this issue within 24 hours. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience as a result of the delay in accessing the modules.

These web-based, self-paced, Computer Based Trainings (CBT) are presented by The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children. The series aims to educate professionals on the sex trafficking of children and teens.

At this time, four of the six modules are available: Introduction to Child Sex Trafficking, the Medical Evaluation, Special Topics, and Global Perspective and Boys are Victims modules. The first module is an introduction to the topic of child sex trafficking and covers a general overview of the issue including definition and language, statistics and prevalence, risk factors, etc. The next module addresses the medical exam and medical interview of suspected victims of trafficking and is intended specifically for medical professionals. The Special Topics module addresses victim related issues, the impact of pornography on trafficking, and laws and policies related to trafficking. Finally, the Global Perspective module discusses international labor and sex trafficking and also dedicates specific discussion to male victims of trafficking.
The program will eventually be expanded to include two additional modules.

If you are looking for the live webinar series, please click here.

After registering, you will first be asked to complete a pre-test and will then be able to complete the module at your pace. You will be able to complete the training at your own pace and can leave the module and return at your convenience.  Once you finish the training, you will complete a post-test (must pass with 80%) and then be redirected to an evaluation. Once you complete the evaluation, you will be redirected to a website to print your certificate.
