Linda Matzigkeit

Linda Matzigkeit is Chief Administrative Officer of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She provides executive oversight, vision and support for the system’s strategic planning, human resources, legal, compliance, marketing and communications, prevention and child wellness, and employee and physician wellness areas.

Originally from central Illinois, Matzigkeit earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and an MBA. She began her career in the healthcare industry nearly 35 years ago and joined Children’s in January 2003. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, as unprecedented demand for skilled caregivers left teams exhausted, Matzigkeit felt an unshakeable calling to join the front line. She earned her EMT license in Spring 2022 and is now honored to work shifts as a tech in Children’s Emergency Departments.

In light of Matzigkeit’s many accomplishments, she has been named a Woman on the Move by Atlanta Magazine which acknowledges women who are making a difference through their leadership. She was also named a Groundbreaker by Atlanta Magazine for taking on the crisis of childhood obesity and received Business to Business Magazine’s Atlanta Business Leader Impact Award by for her significant impact in the community. Earlier in her career, she was honored as one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 promising leaders in Atlanta.

Matzigkeit’s zeal and impact orientation translate into a passion for athletics as well. She is a determined athlete, recently completing a full Ironman and six half-Ironman competitions. She has completed five marathons and more than 50 half marathons, and recently transitioned to buddy-running to help the physically disabled enjoy athletics as much as she does.
