Jared Muenzer, MD, Chief Physician Executive

Jared Muenzer, MD, is Chief Physician Executive at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In this role, Dr. Muenzer leads Children’s physician enterprise, including practice operations, primary care and The Children’s Care Network, focusing on integrating the missions of clinical, research and teaching.

Prior to joining Children’s, Dr. Muenzer served in numerous leadership roles at Phoenix Children’s including Physician-in-Chief, Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Children’s Medical Group and finally, Chief Physician Executive. In this role he oversaw Phoenix Children’s Medical Group across the enterprise including clinical care, behavioral health, Phoenix Children’s Care Network, primary care, research and medical education.

Dr. Muenzer holds a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine and completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. In 2014, he earned an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
