Children’s Healthcare Of Atlanta

Pet Therapy

Children's offers pet therapy programs to help ease patients' anxiety and promote shorter recovery times.

Our service dogs have provided countless meaningful experiences for patients, families and staff. If you would like to help us expand our program, donate securely online. Proceeds will go toward adding more dogs to our hospitals and putting even more smiles on our patients’ faces.

Canine Assistants trains our service dogs. Pups from the following organizations also visit our hospitals:

  • PuppyHappy Tails Pet Therapy
Happy Tails volunteers share the love of their pets with our patients. Children's notifies patients when Happy Tails' dogs and owners are visiting, so they can interact with the dogs.
  • The Atlanta Humane Society
The Atlanta Humane Society volunteers bring puppies awaiting adoption to visit patients. Children love the snuggles and the puppies get some valuable socialization. Learn how to volunteer.
