Opportunities for Young Volunteers

It is never too soon to make a difference in the lives of patients and families at Children's. The Young Friends Program for children ages 5-14 is a great way for our youngest volunteers to begin their service to Children's. Even though youth this age cannot have direct contact with the patients, there are plenty of ways for them to volunteer and brighten a sick or injured child's day.

YoungFriendsEgleston
  • Young Friends at Egleston is for kids ages 5 to 14. Each session will have a theme with a short presentation and activity, as well as a quick overview of Children’s. Groups are limited to 12 participants, and must provide one adult for every four participants. There is no patient interaction due to the hospital's infection control policy. Online registration will open approximately one month before each session. For more information, contact laura.smith@choa.org.

FamilyVolunteerDayEgleston
  • Family Volunteer Day provides families in the community with the opportunity to learn about the patients and families we serve at Children's while working on service projects that benefit them. The event is held in our hospital conference center and does not involve patient interaction.

    9:30 to 11 a.m.
