Introduction

James Thomsen, MD, FAAP, FACS, is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He joined Children’s Medical Staff in 1991 after completing his fellowship training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC and serving as a faculty member at George Washington University. Over the course of his career, Dr. Thomsen has served in several leadership positions at Children’s, including Section Chief of Otolaryngology, Medical Director of Otolaryngology and Campus Surgical Director at Children’s at Scottish Rite Hospital. In addition to his work at Children’s, Dr. Thomsen is an active member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO). He currently serves as an ASPO committee chair.

In his spare time, Dr. Thomsen enjoys spending time with his wife, two adult daughters and two Welsh Corgis.
