Following his residency training at the University at Buffalo, Dr. Axelrod moved to Atlanta for a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Upon completion of his fellowship training in 2008, Dr. Axelrod was invited to join the medical staff at Children’s. He has special interests in foot and ankle problems, spinal deformity and orthopaedic trauma. He also has a specialty clinic for spina bifida patients. Dr. Axelrod is also a consulting associate for the Duke University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
