Karen J Wasilewski, MD

Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist





Dr. Wasilewski-Masker is Medical Director of the Aflac Cancer Center and an Associate Professor at Emory. The focus of her research is optimizing the experience of children, adolescents and young adults with cancer and blood disorders through quality improvement, supportive care and implementation of evidence-based guidelines. She previously served as an oncologist within the Cancer Survivorship and Solid Tumor programs. She currently serves as a hospitalist for the oncology/ hematology services on all three Children’s hospital campuses.

"I Swim for Hope"

A teen battling cancer at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center found solace in water. Her mom and doctor later would swim to honor her.
