Established in 2011, Emerging Leaders for Children’s (ELC) is a leadership development board of accomplished business professionals, physicians and community volunteers in their 30s and early 40s. As ambassadors, advocates and fundraisers, members have a profound impact on Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta—one of the nation’s leading and largest pediatric healthcare systems.
ELC’s mission is to advance the vision of Children’s by engaging the community and raising awareness and funds for unique high-priority initiatives, as well as growing the next generation of volunteer leaders.
Meet our members
Under the oversight of the Children’s Foundation Board of Trustees, ELC educates members about Children’s and its vision for the future in order to develop strong community ambassadors, fundraisers and future volunteer leaders. Regular business meetings, networking opportunities with trustees and executives, volunteer engagement with patients, and member socials make for a meaningful ELC experience.
This year, ELC is proud to support the new Behavioral and Mental Health Initiative at Children’s. Now more than ever, our children need healthy strategies for dealing with anxiety and stress. Join us as we walk beside our children, building resilience and emotional skills to face life’s ups and downs.
This May, ELC is spreading awareness by celebrating the resiliency of our amazing teachers and students. Support the Children’s behavioral and mental health initiative by purchasing an apple sign. These are perfect gifts for an incredible teacher or student in your life.Buy a Sign
