Introduction

Marleny Aquino, MD, is a Pediatric Epileptologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Aquino earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then received her residency training in child neurology at Boston University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Prior to joining Children's in 2024, she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child Neurology at Augusta University Medical Center.

Dr. Aquino has a particular interest in the care of children and adolescents with complex neurological conditions. She is especially passionate about caring for children with epilepsy. She believes in excellent patient care regardless of race, ethnicity or social standing.
