Introduction
Anna Tanner, MD, is a Pediatrician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Associate Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Tanner has specialized in the care of youth with eating disorders for more than 25 years and is a nationally invited speaker on this topic. She is the author of several articles and a book chapter on the unique medical complications of eating disorders in youth.
Dr. Tanner has served as Co-Chair of the Academy for Eating Disorder's (AED) Medical Care Standards Committee and is an author on the AED's Medical Care and Psychopharmacology books. Additionally, she is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) and a Certified Eating Disorders Consultant (CEDS-C). She has been recognized for her contributions to the field by being named as a Fellow in the Academy for Eating Disorders. She has additionally been named by Castle Connelly as a Top Doctor, an Exceptional Woman in Medicine and one of America's Most Honored Doctors.
