About this Atlanta Charity EventThe Children's Christmas Parade

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec.3rd the Children's Christmas Parade will step off at Peachtree St. and 16th St. and end at Peachtree St. and 5th St. Watch as Midtown Atlanta will be transformed into Santa Claus Lane with the sights and sounds of the season.

With floats, giant helium-filled balloons and marching bands, the Children's Christmas Parade will be the largest holiday parade in the southeast. Along with a television audience of more than 500,000 viewers on WSB-TV, hundreds of thousands of spectators will be lined up along the streets eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa and the official beginning of the holiday season in Atlanta.

Purchase Bleacher Seats or Breakfast with Santa

Make sure you reserve your bleacher seats or tickets to our exclusive Breakfast with Santa event. Bleacher seats are located on the parade route in the TV zone between 11th and 12th streets. The Breakfast with Santa event takes place at the Four Seasons Atlanta Hotel at 8 a.m. on parade morning. Guests are served a buffet breakfast, enjoy special Christmas crafts, visits from costumed characters and Santa & Mrs. Claus. Breakfast guests also receive bleacher tickets with their purchase. Tickets for the bleachers and breakfast will go on sale this fall. All proceeds benefit the Friends Funding Goals for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Parade Information

  • Parade Route

      The Parade will travel through Midtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street starting at 16th Street and ending at 5th Street.

      We encourage all spectators to take MARTA. The Midtown and Arts Center stations are located along the Parade route. There will be limited parking available in surface lots.

  • TV Broadcast
      Our media sponsors WSB-TV Channel 2 will broadcast the Parade live at 10:30 a.m. on December 3. The Parade will continue to be broadcast throughout the holiday season. Check your local listings for times and dates.
  • Parade Participants

      Performance and unique and entertaining groups are invited to apply for participation in the Children's Christmas Parade. Your participation will not only will be a memorable experience, but it will also support a wonderful cause.

      Apply now to participate in the 2016 Christmas Parade. All applicants must review the code of conduct and agree to adhere to these guidelines when submitting their application.

  • Parade Volunteers

      Hundreds of dedicated volunteers help make the Parade a success. If you are interested in volunteering this year, read the volunteer committee descriptions and fill out the online application. Volunteer positions are filled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that all general volunteer applicants must be at least 18 years old.

      Volunteers will work with Chairmen who will train and advise you on your duties. If you are interested in being considered for a future chair position, please note that on your application.

      Once your application has been accepted and your committee assignment made, we will contact you and keep you informed about the event in the coming months.
