The 14th annual Kauffman Tire Spring Classic for Kids at Turner Field, featuring UGA vs. GT, will be held May 17, 2016. Alumni and fans of both schools looking for a fun and rewarding way to volunteer for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta are invited to consider joining the UGA-GT Challenge ticket sales fundraising campaign. More than 20,000 tickets typically have been sold to this event each year.
The UGA-GT Challenge for the Spring Classic was formed in 2004. Thanks to the coporate volunteers in this program, more than $1.9 million has been raised to help our patients.
What Do UGA-GT Challenge Volunteers Do?
UGA-GT Challenge volunteers help sell seven corporate sponsor ticket packages to the Spring Classic in the weeks leading up to the game. Sponsor ticket packages are $120, $300, $600, $1,200, $1,500, $2,000 and $5,000 and include tickets, parking passes and corporate recognition. There is something to fit every budget and business. Company vendors, clients, customers, and friends are all excellent prospects for sales. As a UGA-GT Challenge volunteer, you are offering companies and individuals a chance to entertain their clients, employees and friends to a fun event while supporting our community's not-for-profit hospital.
All you have to do as a volunteer is help distribute the order form with the ticket packages to your contacts. A kickoff orientation lunch will be held in January to explain the program and help you get started. Volunteer at your own pace and work toward incentives as an individual and a corporate team. Children's will handle all of the orders and distribution of tickets. Your time commitment is minimal, but your involvement will help innumerable kids being treated at Children's.
