When is the 2014 Children's Christmas Parade?

Where is the Parade?

The Parade will travel through Midtown Atlanta on Peachtree Street. See the exact Parade route here.

Is the Parade a rain or shine event?

Yes. The Parade will go on rain or shine with the exception of extreme and dangerous weather conditions.

How long does the Parade last?

One and a half hours at any given point.

Do I have to pay to attend the Parade?

No, the Children's Christmas Parade is a free event open to the public. There will be sidewalk seating along the parade route. We encourage all those in attendance to consider making a donation to Children's. Bleacher tickets are available for purchase beginning in October and all proceeds will benefit the Friends Funding Goals for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Where can I park?

We encourage all spectators to take MARTA. The Midtown and Arts Center stations are located along the Parade route. If you are considering driving, the Colony Square parking deck on 14th, the Campanile parking deck on Juniper, the Proscenium parking deck on Crescent and the Promenade II parking deck on 15th will be open. When should I arrive to get a good view?

Early risers arrive between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. We recommend you arrive by 8:30 a.m. to get a good seat if you do not purchase bleacher seats.

What should I bring to the Parade?

Depending on the weather, don't forget to dress warm. Blankets and folding chairs are allowed on the Parade route.

What channel will the Parade air on?

Our media sponsors WSB-TV Channel 2 will broadcast the Parade live at 10:30 a.m. on December 6. The Parade will continue to be broadcast throughout the holiday season. Check your local listings for times and dates.
