That is why we do everything we can to meet the unique needs and challenges for families traveling from outside of the United States to receive care for their child.

  • Translation and interpreting services
    We have a team of translators who are highly qualified in the field of pediatric medical interpretation.
  • Financial counseling
    Our counselors can help families estimate their medical and travel expenses, and understand their insurance benefits and obligations.
  • Single point of contact 
    Your family will be given a main point of contact to help obtain medical records, schedule appointments and coordinate travel and lodging arrangements.

      As one of the leading pediatric cancer, blood disorders and blood and marrow (BMT) programs in the U.S., the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta cares for more than 2,000 children each year.

      Our team is highly skilled and experienced in treating children with all forms of cancer and blood disorders—from the most common to those rarely seen outside of the top pediatric centers. 

  • Cardiac care

      Our nationally ranked cardiac services program includes a team of pediatric cardiologists, pediatric heart surgeons and pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists who provide diagnostic, treatment and management services for conditions ranging from simple arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats) to pediatric heart transplants.

      Treating more than 37,000 children annually, the Children’s Sibley Heart Center provides comprehensive services for congenital and acquired heart defects, from before birth to young adulthood. 

  • Craniofacial services

      The Children’s Healthcare Center for Craniofacial Disorders is a comprehensive program, offering specialized medical care specifically for children. 

      Our multidisciplinary team leverages the most advanced technologies in conjunction with extensive, outcome-based research and treatment to care for a full range of craniofacial conditions and to maximize each child’s quality of life. 

      We also offer a variety support services and resources for pediatric craniofacial patients and their families.

  • Neurosciences program

      We rank nationally for pediatric neurological and neurosurgical care. Our Neurosciences Program provides comprehensive care for children with brain disorders, such as epilepsy and brain tumors. The neurosciences team includes neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuropsychologists and neurophysiology social workers working together to continue to provide quality care to our patients.

  • Ophthalmology program

      Our experienced ophthalmology team has special training in the medical and surgical treatment of children with eye conditions. We provide high-quality care for children with common and complex eye problems. 

  • Orthopaedics services

      The orthopaedic team at Children’s attends to more than 147,000 outpatient visits and performs over 5,500 surgeries each year, making it one of the busiest pediatric programs in the country.

      Our orthopaedics program is consistently ranked among the top pediatric programs in the U.S. because of superior rankings in areas such as patient and procedure volume and commitment to quality improvement. We demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance the care we give our patients.

  • Inpatient rehabilitation

      With 28 beds, our Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is one of the largest pediatric inpatient rehabilitation facilities in the country. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) with specialty recognition in spinal cord system of care, brain injury specialty program and pediatric system of care.

      Our multidisciplinary team is experienced in treating children, teens and young adults following a life-altering injury or illness. Patients receive a comprehensive approach to care that promotes independence, helps maximize function and supports community reintegration.

      Performing more than 1,000 life saving transplants since our program's inception, we rank among the top pediatric transplant centers in the U.S. Our nationally ranked liver, heart and kidney transplant programs have outcomes that are above the national average.

  • Urology program

      Our nationally ranked pediatric urology program has a team of pediatric urologists specially trained to treat children. We work to provide high-quality care for the full range of genital and urinary tract disorders, from the most common to the most complex. Our comprehensive services include consultation, evaluation, treatment and long-term assistance.
