Introduction
Lisa Lima, MD, is a Critical Care Medicine Physician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Lima received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta prior to receiving her residency and fellowship training at Emory University School of Medicine. Following her pediatric critical care medicine fellowship, Dr. Lima completed an ECMO and Advanced Therapies fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Lima’s overarching research focus is improving outcomes in advance technology, including ECMO—more specifically, the relationship between non-biologic materials and the interplay with immune response, hemostatic and clotting abnormalities, and effects of interventions to combat these abnormalities on ECMO.
