About one in 50 U.S. infants are victims of nonfatal child abuse or neglect annually. Experts estimate that one in four girls and one in six boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthday. The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children promotes the safety and well-being of children through advocacy in the community and the identification, assessment and prevention of child abuse.

A National Leader
Recognized at a state and national level as a child advocacy center for child abuse and neglect, the Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children located on the Children's at Scottish Rite and Children's at Hughes Spalding campuses provides forensic medical evaluations and conducts interviews of suspected victims of child abuse throughout Georgia. The Center for Safe and Healthy Children is a child advocacy center that provides services in a safe, child-friendly environment by a team of professionals with extensive pediatric experience. Services include:
