Sometimes blood vessels can be too large, too small or twisted. Our Aortic and Vascular Program follows children and young adults to age 21 with blood vessel diseases. We help facilitate multidisciplinary coordination of care with ophthalmology, orthopedics, and pulmonary physicians.
Our program provides a complete range of services and offers expertise to evaluate and treat a wide range of aortic and vascular conditions including:
- Aortic and vascular conditions
- Arterial tortuosity syndrome
- Bicuspid aortic valve
- Familial aortic aneurysms
- Loeys-Dietz syndrome
- Marfan syndrome
- Turner syndrome
- Vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
Patients with these conditions often need follow-up and management. We offer close monitoring, medical management educational support and surgical intervention, if necessary, to treat these conditions. Because these disorders are typically genetic, our team includes a certified genetic counselor to help families understand the genetic diagnosis, treatment options and risk of other family members having the same condition.
