Our new pediatric Outpatient Care Center will be a healthcare hub in northwest Georgia for children and teens.
Josh Joines was born with spina bifida, a serious condition that occurs when a baby’s spinal column does not close completely while in the womb. Now a college bound high school graduate, Josh has undergone more than 15 hospitalizations and surgeries, and spent almost four months of his life in Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospitals.
“”We are incredibly proud and honored to have been associated with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for many years now and appreciate the opportunity to sponsor the lobby at the new Children’s at Town Center Outpatient Care Center. We consider it a blessing to be able to give to this worthy cause of helping children receive the exceptional care and support that they need.
“”The addition of a Children’s hub facility with subspecialties in Kennesaw is such a game changer for families in the northwest part of Georgia. It makes top-notch doctors and treatments available to children without the need to fight through hours of traffic to get to one of the main hospitals. For children like Josh with chronic and/or extensive medical needs these frequent trips are exhausting on so many levels and this new facility will make a huge difference. It will give him and our family more time to do the things we love like swimming, playing sports and being with friends instead of sitting in traffic. Thank you to Children’s for continuing to bring your best to where we need you!
“”The new Children’s at Town Center Outpatient Care Center in Cobb County allows access to high-quality pediatric care to children in the greater Atlanta area, all in one location. By expanding services, ranging from urgent care to specialty care, sports medicine and advanced imaging, Children’s commitment to caring for the children of Cobb and neighboring counties remains strong.
The second floor will be used by all patients seeing a specialist. The Audiology Booth on this floor will be for Ear, Nose and Throat patients who need hearing evaluations as a part of their visit.
The first floor includes everything from Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Orthotic and Prosthetic treatment areas to Occupational and Speech Therapy. Our pediatric professionals help patients recover from surgery, injury, or manage a chronic disease. Comprehensive therapies can improve a child's function and quality of life, restore independence, and promote physical healing. In addition, the first floor will feature a Community Meeting Room which will be available for use by staff and members of the community for meetings or other special events.
Recognition opportunities are available for donors who wish to make an investment of $2,000 or more in the Outpatient Care Center. These gifts give you the opportunity to make a profound impact in the lives of children within the community and helps us achieve our goals of providing the best care possible for these kids and their families.
