2014 Strong Legs Run

Registration Information

Thank you for your support of the 30th Annual Strong Legs Run that took place on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Turner Field.  We are still accepting donations thru December 1, 2014.  Please join us next year for our 31st Annual Strong Legs Run on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Turner Field (we will put in a request for better weather).

Race results will be available on the Active Results website following the event.

Race Shirts

For those that were unable to make it to the race on Saturday, November 1 and would like to come by and pick up a shirt from our office you will be able to do that on Monday, November 17 from 1:00pm  - 3:00pm and then again on Tuesday, November 18 from 8:30am – 10:30am.  Our office is located at 1577 Northeast Expressway, Atlanta, GA  30329.  We are right off the I-85 access road in the old Girl Scout building.  Please bring your photo ID with you.  If you need to pick up shirts for others please be sure to have their name ready so that we can look it up.  Please note that if you registered as a Phantom Runner your shirt will be mailed to the address you entered on your registration form the week following the event.  We are unable to mail shirts to anyone else and we are unable to send shirts via interoffice mail to those inside the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta system due to the volume of requests.  Everyone is welcome to come by our office to pick up a shirt during the dates and times specified.  After these dates we will no longer be distributing shirts.


A professional photography team from Village Photographers took finish line and candid pictures at the Strong Legs Run on November 1, 2014.  Images will be posted about a week after the race at www.villagephotographers.com.  To view your images, click on the Race picture and choose Strong Legs Run. Images may be searched by bib number or category.  Proofs will be mailed and/or e-mailed to participants with visible runner numbers.

      Mascot Trot route: The mascot trot will take place in front of Turner Field on Ralph David Abernathy Blvd.

  • Parking and Directions

      All Strong Legs Run races begin and end in front of Turner Field. Complimentary parking is available for participants in the surrounding parking lots. View detailed directions.

  • Post-Race Celebrations

      Join us along with B98.5 and other local companies for entertainment, awards, free giveaways and food from vendors such as ARAMARK and the Coca-Cola Company.

      Photographers will be taking pictures of participants near the finish line and in the post-race celebration area.  You will be identified by your race number and may receive a proof after the race to consider for purchase.  The photographers try to get a picture of everyone, but may inadvertently miss some people. We apologize if you do not receive a proof. Beginning Nov. 6, 2014, visit the Village Photographers website, select "races" and follow the directions to review your proofs. 

      Please note that the photographers must be able to see your race number in order to take your photo and be able to identify you. Again, we apologize if you do not find your photo or do not receive a proof in the mail.

  • Mascot Trot

      Mascot TrotJoin us for the 14th annual Mascot Trot at the Strong Legs Run on Saturday Nov. 1, 2014. Mascots from schools, universities, companies and many of Atlanta's professional sports teams will join children in a fun run at Turner Field during the Strong Legs Run. This will be a fun opportunity that you will not want to miss.

      Our Mascot Trot is for kids ages 10 and under. The fee is $12 and includes a special Mascot Trot participation ribbon.

  • Volunteer Information

      The Strong Legs Run attracts thousands of race participants each year, and volunteer support is essential to the success of our event. Volunteers are needed throughout the day to help with a wide variety of tasks. We appreciate your support in making this year's Strong Legs Run a success.

      If you are interested in volunteering, please print and complete the volunteer form and submit it no later than October 14.
