Concussion Seminar
Presented by the Sports Medicine Program
As coaches, trainers, parents and doctors, you play a key role in preventing concussions and responding to them properly when they occur.
As a result, the Children’s Sports Medicine Program will be hosting a seminar to help you recognize and take the necessary steps if you think your athlete may have sustained a concussion.

We will provide education about:
- Preventing concussions
- Early recognition of concussions
- Assessment and recovery
- Safe return to play
In addition to physicians, trainers and therapists from the Sports Medicine Program, the seminar will feature a key note speaker. Topics will include:
- Current understanding of brain physiology before and after a concussion
- On-field screening tools
- Medical assessment
- Computerized testing
