Pediatric Transplant Facilities

As patients and families enter the Children’s Carlos and Marguerite Mason Transplant Center, they are greeted by colorful images of butterflies creating a spirited, yet welcoming environment. In the waiting room, an interactive map on the wall allows children to touch and see the beautiful butterflies of the world. Children and families will also enjoy the breathtaking view of the Atlanta skyline. Interactive stations with touch screen monitors throughout the Children’s Mason Transplant Center help educate children on the human body and different species of butterflies.

Comfort for Pediatric Transplant Patients

The Children’s Mason Transplant Center was designed with children in mind. The furniture and equipment to care for patients come in many sizes to meet the needs of an infant, child or teenager. The staff at Children’s firmly believes in providing space for its multidisciplinary teams to care for patients and to give room for families to relax, interact and learn with each other.

Doctors and staff at Children’s have special training in treating young, growing bodies, and in the physiological and psychological differences between children and adults. The Children’s Mason Transplant Center is a place for transplant patients and their families to feel welcome and comfortable.
