About This Atlanta Charity Event
Body Central, a Pilates studio dedicated to wellness, fitness and fun, will host “Art for Hope” benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding. This event is free and open to the public.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the evening will feature performance art and a silent auction. In addition, the event provides the community an opportunity to make its mark on the canvas of Children’s at Hughes Spalding by sponsoring kids’ artwork that will be displayed throughout the downtown hospital's new facility.
Donated by the public charity Visions United Inc., 40 framed images of “vintage” artwork will be available for sponsorships. Sponsorships will include an accompanying plaque acknowledging each individual donor’s art selection and contribution. Covering more than two decades, the pieces of children’s art have been collected from more than 50 countries and will help decorate the new Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design (LEED)-certified facility at Children's at Hughes Spalding that will open this fall. The Children’s at Hughes Spalding facility will house child-friendly inpatient beds, an enhanced Emergency Department and specialty clinics for sickle cell disease, asthma and child protection services.
