Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Ranked Among America's Best Children's Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has once again been ranked among the nation’s top pediatric hospitals by U.S.News & World Report. The 2009 edition of “America's Best Children’s Hospitals” is published online at www.usnews.com/childrenshospitals.

Orthopaedic surgeons at Children’s care for thousands of patients who require specialized medical and surgical treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal diseases, complicated congenital anomalies, and deformities and injuries throughout Georgia, the Southeast and internationally. The Orthopaedics program includes orthopaedic surgery, a hip program, orthotics and prosthetics, scoliosis screening, a limb deficiency center, sports medicine and a hand clinic. Orthopaedics at Children's also is ranked No. 5 in the U.S. by Parents magazine.  

The methodology behind this year’s rankings weighed a three-part blend of reputation, outcome and care-related measures, such as nursing care, advanced technology, credentialing and other factors. Nearly 100 pediatric facilities responded to the 65-page survey, which asked for detailed data and statistics. Click here for a detailed description of the methodology.
