Pediatric Radiology Procedures

Young patients need specialized treatment that is different from an adult’s. We offer early diagnosis through our consultative services and expeditions access to onsite advanced diagnostics.

Radiology procedures used to diagnose pediatric and adolescent orthopaedic conditions include:

• Ultrasound
  Uses sound waves to study hard-to-reach areas of the body 
• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  Uses a large magnet and radio waves to take pictures 
• Computed tomography (CT)
  More powerful and provides greater clarity than a regular X-ray 
• X-ray
  Capable of showing bones, tissues or parts of organs
