Credentialing

Children’s Credentialing Services department is responsible for the following:

  • Processing of initial appointments and reappointments for physicians and allied health professionals in accordance with JCAHO and NCQA guidelines (Children's uses the Georgia Uniform Healthcare Practitioner Credentialing Application Form Practitioner Part1.doc)
  • Completion of hospital and managed care affiliation verifications
  • Maintenance of the physician continuing medical education database
  • Facilitation of delegated credentialing audits for those managed care plans that contract with Children's and TCHN
