Objectives
After reading the material, the participant should be able to:
- Identify early signs of patient deterioration six to eight hours prior to a code.
- Name the four areas of patient data that make up the PEWS score.
- Locate PEWS in EPIC.
Expected results
A goal is to eliminate or decrease the number of preventable codes.
